Meeting Details: The Board of County Commissioners met in person at 9:30 am on November 29, 2022 at the Geauga County Administration Building, 12611 Ravenwood Drive, Claridon. This meeting was in person only and there was no link to a recording.
Attendance: Commissioners Dvorak, and Lennon were present. Mr. Spidalieri was absent.
Also in attendance were Deborah Ashburn, Senior Fiscal Specialist, substituting for Christine Blair, Commissioner’s Clerk, County Administrator Gerard Morgan and Finance Director Adrian Gorton.
Other members of County Government in attendance were County Engineer Shane Hajir, Maintenance Director Glenn Vernick, Clerk of Courts, Transit Director Joanne Santilli and in the public, Frank Antenucci (ADP), and Adam Litke (Health Board).
The meeting began with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer led by Mr. Dvorak.
Meeting Minutes: None presented. Reviewer Comment: As of December 2, 2022, minutes are posted on the BOCC website through September 13, 2022. Approved minutes may also be obtained through a public records request.
County Administrator - Mr. Morgan reported that he had concurred with Bainbridge Trustees in not contesting liquor license for Spice King, doing business as Paradise Indian Cuisine.

Cash transfers from the Engineer’s office to General Bond for OPWC loan and to the General Fund to pay off remaining balance to pay off salt structure early.

The Clerk of Courts received approval to execute the Agreement with Jennifer Carson to reconcile, balance and prepare required reports for the Clerk of Courts Legal Office Account for Years 2021 and 2022 for the period November 29, 2022 through Mach 15, 2023 in an amount not to exceed $5,000.00.

to execute the Second Addendum to amend the Dude Solutions, Incorporated d.b.a. Facility Dude Agreement to acknowledge and reflect the name change of Dude Solutions, Incorporated d.b.a. Facility Dude to Brightly Software, Incorporated, all remaining terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect. This is a software company that helps the Maintenance Dept. process work orders. It is paid in part by the County underwriter, CORSA.

To execute the service Contract Agreement with Burton Carpet to perform installation, repairs and replacement of carpet in County Buildings for a one-year period, effective November 29, 2022 in an amount not to exceed $30,000.00. This is for various smaller projects around the county.
The Transit Department received approval to execute the Ohio Department of Transportation. Ohio Transportation Partnership Program SFY2023 Grant Program Year Grant Agreement for the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023 in the amount of $117,488.00, and further authorize the Director to submit the agreement electronically. Money will be used for various repairs.
The Director, Joanne Santilli, was also questioned by Commissioners Dvorak and Lennon about the status of the proposed cooperative agreement with Lake County. Mrs. Santilli stated that LakeTran continues to be receptive. They are moving forward.
