West Geauga Board of Education Special Board Meeting - 10/14/2024
Meeting Details: The West Geauga Board of Education met in Special Session on October 14, 2024 at 4:00 pm in the Board Office Community Room, 8615 Cedar Road in Chester Township. Board Attendance: Dr. William Beers, Pam Claypool, Christina Sherwood, and Kathy Leavenworth; Mary-Michelle Coleman Walsh was absent.
Staff Attendance: Karen Pavlat, Treasurer, Dr. Richard Markwardt, Superintendent, and Dr. Nancy Benincasa, Assistant Superintendent.

Call to Order - The meeting was called to order at 4:00 pm, roll call was conducted, and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

2024-10-332 Resolution to Approve the Supplemental Student Transportation Services Agreement between West Geauga Local School District and Community Bus Services, Inc. This agreement will provide school bus drivers for the District with a daily six (6) hour minimum driving time for each driver utilizing the District’s buses. This will allow more flexibility in staffing the two new proposed bus routes created to address extended pupil ridership times.
2024-10-333 Resolution to Approve the Comfort Systems USA Proposal. This resolution is for approval of state contract pricing with Comfort Systems USA to purchase and install a new boiler at Westwood Elementary School for $104,000.
